| The City of Osakis is located approximately 120
miles northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul in west central
Minnesota off of I-94. It is situated in both
Douglas County and
Todd
County and borders the south end of Lake Osakis, a 6300 acre
fishing and recreation paradise. The economic base is tourism,
agricultural and light industry. Osakis is a small, friendly,
Christian community of 1610 people and boasts of great
recreational opportunities. |

YARD WASTE PICKUP!
Separate collection of leaves, grass clipping materials, and
other yard waste will be collected on May
17, 2008.
The City requires that yard waste be bagged
separately from other household refuse material and put at
curbside for pickup in plastic or biodegradable bags, and must
be placed for collection by 7:00 am. If you miss the yard
waste pickup you can bring it to clean-up day at the Osakis
Liquor Store from 8 am to 12 noon, also on May 17th.
