Chief Gulbranson has worked for the City of
Osakis as a Police Officer since 2000 and became
Chief of Police April 2012. He has an
A.A.S. Degree in Law Enforcement, A.A.S. Degree in
Aquaculture and a B.A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice.
Chief Gulbranson is originally
from Alexandria and moved to Osakis in 2001 after
marrying Sherry LaFrenz from Osakis. He and his wife
have twin boys who were born in 2004. Chief Gulbranson
was a member of the Minnesota
National Guard from 1998 to 2011 and was deployed to Iraq
from 2005-2007. |

Officer Uhl joined the police department
in June of 2002. He has been deployed with the
Army Reserve to Iraq in 2003 and Afghanistan in
2010. Officer Uhl and his family have lived in
Osakis since 2004 and in the
Alexandria area since 1998. Officer Uhl has an
A.A.S. Degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria
Technical College. He is a 20-plus veteran of
the armed forces and has earned two police medals,
the Life Saving Award and the Medal of Honor. |
