Meeting was called to order by Mayor Gary Astleford at 4:31pm.

Pledge of Allegiance was spoken

Present: Gary Astleford, Keith Emerson, Bruce Pederson, James Tholen

Absent: None

Others Present: Angela Jacobson, Randy Anderson, Jerry Olson, Gretta Petrich

Lloyd Hagemann gave his resignation on April 7, 2008.

Council would like to express their appreciation for the years of service Lloyd has serviced as a councilmember.

A Resolution was presented by Tholen seconded by Emerson to accept councilmember Hagemann’s resignation and declare a vacancy exists.

When put to a vote the resolution passed unanimously.

The candidates that ran at the last election were:

Carol Mihalchick, Randy Anderson, Jerry Olson, Ralph Laven

All have said they are interested in the position accept Ralph, council has not heard if he was interested.

Randy Anderson read his letter to the council and Jerry stated he has been at all but 5 meeting in 4 years and cares about the community.

Council would like to acknowledge the interest in this position and believe all applicants provide great service to the community and the council respects their support and hopes they all run in the November election.

A silent ballot was cast and Randy Anderson received the most votes.

Mayor Astleford administered the Oath of Office on April 16, 2008 to Randy Anderson.

Motion by Emerson seconded by Tholen to adjourn the meeting at 4:47pm, all ayes
