Mayor Astleford called the meeting to order at 11:10 A.M.
Present: Astleford, Pederson, Emerson, Hagemann
Absent: Tholen
Motion by Emerson, seconded by Hagemann to approve the agenda. All Ayes.
Absent: Tholen
Project #307: Community Memorial Home Project
Motion by Hagemann, seconded by Emerson to open the public hearing at
11:10 a.m and suspend the special meeting. All Ayes. Absent: Tholen
The purpose of the public hearing is to let any person voice their opinion
on the issuance of the revenue bond for the Community Memorial Home
project.
Dave Carlson was in attendance. He explained the bond and the project.
Mayor Astleford asked for comments from any one present.
Motion by Pederson, seconded by Hagemann to close the public hearing at
11:17 a.m. and reopen the special council meeting. All Ayes. Absent:
Tholen
A resolution was presented by Emerson, seconded by Hagemann to approve the
issuance and sale of a revenue bond for the Community Memorial Home
project series 2007. When put to a vote the resolution passed unanimously.
Absent: Tholen
Project #5: East Side Pond/Industrial Park Project
Tom Klemenhagen was in attendance to present the council with the low
bid.
The city received 13 bids for the project and the following three are low
bids:
Landwehr $595,580.82
Mark Lee $602,057.23
Kuechle VG $674,430.27
A Resolution was presented by Emerson, seconded by Pederson to accept low
bid of Landwehr Construction in the amount of $595,580.82. When put to a
vote the resolution passed unanimously. Absent: Tholen
Project #299: Bonds
Council received quotes for the bonding for the Industrial Park Project.
David Drowns Associates - bond schedule and fee schedule
PFM - bond schedule and fee schedule
Motion by Pederson, seconded by Emerson to have David Drowns Associates do
the bonding for the Industrial Park Project. All Ayes. Absent: Tholen
Motion by Emerson, seconded by Hagemann to go through the local bank for
the bond. When put to a vote those in favor: Emerson, Astleford, Hagemann.
Abstain: Pederson Absent: Tholen
Motion by Emerson, seconded by Hagemann to adjourn the meeting at 11:38
a.m. All Ayes. Absent: Tholen
