Call meeting to order by Mayor Gary Astleford at 3:17pm.

Present: Gary Astleford, Keith Emerson, Jim Tholen, Bruce Pederson

Absent: Lloyd Hagemann.

The special meeting of the Osakis City Council was called because of the up coming special election for the on-sale liquor license on February 6, 2007, which Wes David had asked the city to call on his behalf.

On Wednesday Wes David stopped into the clerks office and informed her he was not going to be buying Mary’s Café or any other building in town and would not need the liquor license he requested. He stated the building cost and liens on the property were more than is feasible to spend.

Council met and discussed the matter and would like to see the question asked at the next general election in 2008.

Motion by Emerson 2^nd by Pederson to cancel the special election dated for February 6^th, 2007 all ayes, Hagemann absent.

Motion by Pederson seconded by Emerson to adjourn the special meeting at 3:37pm all ayes, Hagemann absent.
