Special Council Meeting

March 28, 2006

4:30pm

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Astleford 

Present: Hagemann, Pederson, Astleford, Emerson, Timmerman

Absent: None 

Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. 

Mark Gilson explained his feelings on the 2AM closing which will be brought up at the 4/3/06 meeting. 

Project #354 – OWA Park Grant 

Lyla Engfer asked the council to increase their pledge for Park Osagi by $2,000.00 from 10,000.00 to 12,000.00 for grant purposes. 

Motion by Timmerman seconded by Emerson to approve the $2,000.00 increase, all ayes. 

Motion by Emerson seconded by Hagemann to hire Angela Jacobson as City Clerk at step one which is $36,071.00 annually, starting on 7/1/06, probationary period starting 7/1/06, all ayes. 

Motion by Timmerman seconded by Pederson to advertisement for the Deputy Clerk position immediately. If people already applied for the city clerk position they will need to reapply for the Deputy Clerk position.  Deadline is April 18, 2006 salary is $30,080.00 Annually.  Each council member is to pick their top two applicants by the April 24^th meeting at 7:30pm, all ayes. 

Motion by Emerson seconded by Timmerman to adjourn meeting at 5:30 pm.
