Osakis City Council
Special Meeting
August 25, 2004
7:00 PM
Mayor Astleford called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
The pledge of Allegiance was spoken.
Present: Hagemann, Astleford, Nordstrom, Emerson, and Timmerman
Absent: None
Project # 330 – 4th Ave E
Tom Klemenhagen was in attendance regarding the bids received on 4th Ave E project.
Bids received as follows:
Lees Construction $99,610.50
Central Specialties $121,237.97
Ferguson Brothers $130,865.00
Mark Lee $130,954.50
A Resolution by Emerson seconded by Hagemann to accept low bid from Lee’s Construction in the amount of $99,610.50 when put to a vote the resolution passed unanimously.
Project #223 – West Pond
Tom Klemenhagen gave each council person a copy of the Joint Powers Agreement for them to read over and it was tabled until the September 7, 2004 meeting.
Mayor Astleford asked Tom Klemenhagen to meet Timmerman and himself some day regarding the compliant they received form individuals on UBC’s gravel running into street.
Project #305 – MAPE Union
The Union Representatives were in attendance and gave the council a copy of the employee’s request.
After much discussion the council decided to take more time to think over the last proposal the employee’s presented. The union negotiations will continue on September 22, 2004 9:00 AM.
Project #84 – Budget
A few questions were asked and at this time the Mayor closed this meeting to reconvene on Monday August 30, 2004 at 2:00PM.
Motion by Timmerman seconded by Hagemann to close the meeting. All Ayes
Meeting adjourned at 10:15PM.
