Tax and Equalization Meeting
April 6, 2004

Mayor Astleford called the meeting to order at 9:00
AM
Present: Hagemann, Astleford, Emerson and Timmerman
Absent: Nordstrom
Project # 24 Liquor Store (Booth Rent)
John Timmerman stated he believed the numbers that
Lil Ortendahl presented regarding the income of the Visitor Center at the
pull tab booth in the Liquor Store were incorrect.
A motion was made by Timmerman seconded by Emerson to
have a special meeting held at city hall on April 12th at
8:00am to discuss the Rental of the Booth. Nordstrom Absent
Timmerman also asked for some clarification from the
council as to what information they would like to see from OEDC as far as
the spending of the money that is funneled through the city. The council
would like to see the amount spent and what it was spent for.
Project # 55 OEDC and Osakis Onward
Timmerman stated that Rod Grove should pay the same
for the land on the East side of the Trail as he did for the West Side.
Then we should check with the state to see if they would want money for
land we sell, and if they dont want it back then the city should use it
for trail beatification or a community project.
The council discussed the extra vacation Jan Flolid
had left from the year.
A motion by Timmerman seconded by Emerson to pay Jan
Flolid for vacation not used for 2003. All Ayes, Nordstrom absent
