Present: John Peterka, Rod Femrite, Bonnie Schultz, Gary Astleford, Dave Zerr,

President John Peterka called the meeting to order at 4:00pm
Motion by Dave seconded by Gary to approve the agenda with the addition of Blue Ox Timber Frames, All Ayes.
Motion by Dave seconded by Rod to approve the General Consent Items, All Ayes.
Osakis Properties – No changes to the lots in Osakis Properties. Angela presented the EDA board with the new TIF and Grant income guidelines and new lot prices for 2008. The EDA board reviewed the new lot prices with the 3% increase.
Motion by Gary seconded by Rod to not increase the lot prices for 2008 and revisits the prices in 2009, All Ayes.
Blue Ox Timber Frames – The EDA received information from a new business that had interest in moving to Osakis, Blue Ox Timber Frames has received a business subsidy agreement, Angela will follow up with the company.
By Laws – EDA members were to review the By Laws and suggest changes. Correct typo, delete paragraph board member dues, put in the IRS mileage rates. Have council review and approve at the next meeting.
OEDC – No money received – members of the EDA board attended the meeting on March 12th with Jason Murray. The cost for the first year of being a trial member is $2,500; the city would be requested to pay for the first year. For 2009 the cost is $12,500. John Peterka would attend the county meetings and bring information back to the EDA board.
A Resolution was presented by Bonnie seconded by Rod to support the Douglas County Lakes Area Economic Development Authority for 2008. When put to a vote the resolution passed unanimously, Jan, Kip absent.
Integrated Manufacturing –Angela checked with the city attorney to see if Integrated Manufacturing would purchase the property if we can make him pay the assessment. He suggested to look at it if he exercises the option to buy, otherwise it should be included in a renewed lease agreement.
Business Subsidy Agreement – Angela talked with Traci and she suggested leaving the wage rates as they are so you don’t exclude anyone and evaluate each company on an individual basis.
Motion by Dave seconded by Gary to adjourn the meeting at 4:45pm, All Ayes.
